Health Career Scholarship
In a continuing effort to help recognize and support area students desiring a career in the medical field, Lodi Community Hospital and the Lodi Medical staff are proud to announce the expansion of their health career scholarship program to eight $1,000 health career scholarships. These scholarships are available for graduating seniors pursuing a career in any medical field at a four-year college or university.

This opportunity is now open to one local male student and one local female student each from Black River, Buckeye, Cloverleaf and Northwestern School Districts. Deadline is May 1. For more information, please contact Lodi Community Hospital Administration at 330-948-5501.

Security Officer-Lodi Community Hospital

Semi full-time Position Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Coordinator, AGP Security, the Security Officer is responsible for protecting patients, visitors, employees and center property by conducting regular patrols and enforcing center policies. Job Duties: Protects patients, visitors and employees by providing escorts, patrolling grounds, eliminating safety hazards, etc. Deters vandalism, theft and property abuse through routine patrols of all center property. Enforces center policies such as parking regulations, and drug enforcement. Completes appropriate documentation of various incidents. Intervenes in patient or member/staff confrontations as appropriate. Monitors facility activity on closed circuit television to be alerted to any escalating situations that may require security involvement. Monitors facility and maintenance garages. Performs clerical duties as needed and assigned (i.e., filing, typing notices, mailings, setting up charts, etc.) Completes room set up requests for meetings and events Follows system and department policies and procedures with special attention to attendance and punctuality, confidentiality, dress code and display of ID badge, and safety. Completes mandatory education and training in order to maintain organization and department specific competencies and requirements. Maintains applicable certification/licensure. Maintains required BLS. Upon employment and annually therafter must satisfactorily meet the standards of the Ohio Peace Officer Basic Physical Fitness.

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's/Associate degree in Criminal Justice or completion of 120 hours of private police training as approved by O.P.O.T.C., or an honorable discharge from the U.S. Military. Previous experience as Security Officer preferred. Valid Ohio driver's license. If determined uninsurable by the AGHS carrier will not be permitted to drive a company vehicle. Any employee who is determined to be uninsurable under our plan will not be permitted to drive a company vehicle. Upon employment and thereafter must satisfactorily meet the standards of the Ohio Peace Officers basic physical fitness.
