Health Career Scholarship
In a continuing effort to help recognize and support area students desiring a career in the medical field, Lodi Community Hospital and the Lodi Medical staff are proud to announce the expansion of their health career scholarship program to eight $1,000 health career scholarships. These scholarships are available for graduating seniors pursuing a career in any medical field at a four-year college or university.

This opportunity is now open to one local male student and one local female student each from Black River, Buckeye, Cloverleaf and Northwestern School Districts. Deadline is May 1. For more information, please contact Lodi Community Hospital Administration at 330-948-5501.

Dietary Aide - Lodi Community Hospital Part-time (benefits eligible)

Lodi Community Hospital has a part-time position available in Dietary Services. This position is eligible for benefits, including medical, dental and paid time off. Under the direct supervision of the Manager Nutrition Services, the Aide, Nutrition Services, is responsible for the preparation of all cold food items for patient room service according to Nutrition Services requirements of quality, quantity, nutrition and appearance, as well as dish room duties and other related tasks.• Meets with Dietitian or Manager with Room Service menu concerns. • Reports equipment breakdowns and unsafe conditions to Manager. • Assists the Cook in the storage of supplies and food product deliveries. • Plans and initiates schedule for cold food preparation to meet the mealtime schedule and in order to maintain timely preparation and delivery of all meals to patients. • Maintains safe food handling practices while preparing and serving food for patients, staff and visitors. Records all cold food temperatures on proper logs. Practices infection control, sanitation and safety precautions as instructed. • Tends to dish machine and puts clean dishes away, washes pots and pans, sweeps and mops dish room area and other related tasks. Records all dishwasher temperatures appropriately. • Performs various cleaning duties according to the schedule. • Follows manufacturer's instructions for use of Nutrition Service equipment. • Delivers meal cart to nursing floor and passes trays. Returns carts to dish room. • Operates cash register as needed. • Assists cook with special function setups and/or tear-downs. • Completes mandatory education and training in order to maintain organization and department specific competencies and requirements. Maintains applicable certification/licensure. • Follows system and department policies and procedures with specific attention to attendance and punctuality, confidentiality, dress code and display of ID badge, and safety.

Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent. Experience in food service arena, hospital, long term care or restaurant service. Ability to use institutional kithen equipment. Ability to read and follow written instructions and write legibly.
