The Security Officer is responsible for protecting patients, visitors, employees and center property by conducting regular patrols and enforcing center policies. Job duties include: Protecting patients, visitors and employees by providing escorts, patrolling grounds, eliminating safety hazards, etc. Detering vandalism, theft and property abuse through routine patrols of all center property. Enforcing center policies such as parking regulations, and drug enforcement.
Intervene in patient or member/staff confrontations as appropriate. Monitoring facility activity on closed circuit television to be alerted to any escalating situations that may require security involvement.
Operates both overhead page and pocket beeper systems in accord with established policies and procedures.
Qualifications: Bachelor's/Associate degree in Criminal Justice or completion of 120 hours of private police training as approved by O.P.O.T.C. Previous experience as Security Officer preferred. Valid Ohio driver's license. Any employee who is determined to be uninsurable under our plan will not be permitted to drive a company vehicle. Upon employment and thereafter must satisfactorily meet the standards of the Ohio Peace Officers basic physical fitness.
