Under the direction of the Director, Surgical Services, and the immediate supervision of the Manager, Surgical Services (Pre-Surg), the CNS Surgical Services is responsible for obtaining the initial history, performing a physical exam, and evaluating operative risk factors for pre-surgical patients. The Clinical Nurse Specialist participates in direct patient care and patient education as necessary; participates in growth and continuing education for development and serves as a resource person to other members of the health care team.

Qualifications: Master's degree in nursing with a medical/surgical nursing focus. Current license in the State of Ohio. Three to five years relevant clinical experience. Current Certificate of Authority (COA) from the Ohio Board of Nursing and a Standard Care Arrangement (SCA) with an identified collaborating physician. Demonstrated leadership ability. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with members of the health care team. Proficient in the use of administrative and clinical software applications
