The Hospice Bereavement Support/Education Specialist is responsible to the Supervisor, Bereavement and Spiritual Services and is responsible for providing grief support and education to hospice families/caregivers, hospice staff, and community persons.
Part Time/ Variable Days / 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. / Evening Group One (1) Time Per Week and On Call Per Month
Qualifications: The qualified candidate must have a Masters Degree in Counseling, Social Work, ministry or related field. Current licensure with the State of Ohio in designated field, i.e. counseling or Social Work. Certification in Thanatology and/or Certified Grief Counselor. Five (5) years clinical work experience. At least two (2) units of Clinical Pastoral Education. Strong interpersonal writing and communication skills. Knowledge of the grief process and family dynamics.
