Systems Specialist - Heart & Vascular

Under the direct supervision of the Director, Heart & Vascular Center, the Specialist Heart & Vascular Systems is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting various computer systems to ensure proper functioning within the Heart & Vascular Center. The Specialist is accountable for assisting in the operations of the Heart & Vascular Center department's tracking of inventory, ensuring proper patient billing/compliance, PAC's liaison, scheduling liaison and departmental reporting. The Specialist will be responsible for working with all members of the Heart & Vascular management team to accomplish goals set forth by the cardiovascular service line.

Qualifications: Bachelor Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer science preferred. Two to three years hospital based computer experienced preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge of networking systems mainframe and PC applications. Knowledge of Windows XP, Windows. Windows8 knowledge is useful. Ability to troubleshoot hardware/software malfunctions. Ability to maintain accurate records/reports and be detail oriented.
