Imaging Associate, Radiology - On Call

Under the direct supervision of the Radiology Compliance Safety Coordinator, the Imaging Associate, Radiology, is responsible for providing clerical assistance to technical staff; for coordinating all film assembly for report interventions; for utilizing RIS (Radiology Information System) for image tracking and procedure activity, and PACS/RIS for image distribution.

Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent. PACS (Picture Archive Communications System) or RIS (Radiology Information System) experience preferred. Satisfactory completion of a medical terminology test. Proficiency in keyboarding validated by the completion and results of the alphanumeric test administered in Human Resources. Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, patients and attorneys. Ability to use basic Windows applications and a bar code reader. Ability to efficiently and accurately file in terminal digital order. Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Ability to sit at a computer station for extended periods of time alternating standing and walking during shift. Ability to assist technologists lifting patients and transporting film cassettes (manually carry 10 pounds or via push cart) in the event of an MCI.
