About Your Stay or Visit

We encourage patients and their families to read the information in this section. It is important to your stay or visit.

If you have any questions or concerns during your stay, please mention it to your nurse or call our Patient Advocate at 330-436-0966.

You are entering one of the most exciting and rewarding phases of your recovery. Your stay at Edwin Shaw Rehabilitation will differ from your stay at an acute care hospital. Our focus is to teach and encourage maximum function so you can bathe, dress, groom and feed yourself.

Patients will receive a Welcome Packet. We encourage you to keep it with you during your stay. It can be a quick source of information about Edwin Shaw and what to expect. In addition, personalized educational materials and discharge information will be added to your patient information packet throughout your stay.

The satisfaction of our patients and families is very important to us. You may receive a satisfaction survey after you leave us. We hope that you are able to rate us as giving very good care. If you feel you would not be able to do so, please let your nursing manager know.
