Accessibility All programs and activities of Edwin Shaw Rehab are accessible and usable by disabled persons, including those with impaired hearing and vision. An interpreter can be provided when needed. Special accessibility features at Edwin Shaw include convenient parking specifically for persons with a disability; curb cuts and ramps; level access into the first floor and elevator access to other floors; fully accessible meeting rooms, bathrooms, cafeteria, treatment areas and patient rooms; and readily available assistive and communication aids for persons with hearing, vision, speech or manual disabilities. If you need any assistive or communication aid, please notify your nurse or the patient advocate. Aids, such as sign language interpreters; telecommunication devices; readers or taped materials; communication boards, or assistive devices, will be provided free of charge.
Patient Advocate Our Patient Advocates are here to help you and your family with any requests or concerns. You may share any concerns with your Care Manager or the Nursing Unit Manager. Please let us know as soon as possible by either asking your nurse or calling ext. 1966. We value our patients' feedback and want to provide the best care and service possible.
Chapel and Clergy We encourage you to contact your minister, priest or rabbi if you wish to visit with him or her while at Edwin Shaw Rehab. Nondenominational services are held at 3:00 p.m. on the second Monday and the first and fourth Wednesday each month.
