This 19th Annual Practical Approach to Sports Medicine symposium is an opportunity to increase your knowledge of the expanding discipline of Sports Medicine. The subjects selected are balanced between Orthopaedic and Primary Care Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Our objective is to present a concise but detailed discussion of the more controversial aspects of Sports Medicine, and not just an overview. The information provided will be of practical application for primary care physicians, team physicians, athletic trainers and physical therapists to enhance care of athletes of all ages.
Akron General Sports Medicine is recognized by the NATA Board of Certification, Inc. to offer continuing education for certified athletic trainers.
The Ohio OPTA board, Ohio AT board has approved 12.0 hours for Friday & Saturday, and 2.0 hours for Thursday. The NSCA has approved 1.2 hours for Friday & Saturday and 0.2 hours for Thursday. AMA Category 1 approval is 12.0 hours for Friday & Saturday, and 2.0 for Thursday.
Fees include lectures, refreshments and Friday lunch.

$250 Physicians; $220 ATs and PTs; $70 Students
Thursday Pre-Symposium: $50
There is limited space for the Thursday pre-symposium. A refund for the additional session(s) will be given if they are filled upon your registration.
Deadline for mail-in registration is Monday, November 30, 2012. There will be a 25% fee for cancellation after November 15, 2012, and no refunds after November 26, 2012.
