Chemotherapy

Chemotherapy are medications given to treat a broad range of cancer types. They work by attacking fast-growing cancer cells and can be used in various combinations with other cancer treatments. While treating cancer, we also aim at minimizing side effects, such as nausea, through the use of medications.

Akron General offers a comfortable and convenient outpatient setting for chemotherapy in the outpatient treatment center. Located on the first floor of the Physicians' Office Building, patients are able to relax with their family members while waiting outdoors or inside.
