Our Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs are designed with lifestyle in mind - to help those with heart and lung diseases resume what they enjoy the most and find a better quality of life, which includes assistance with exercise, diet and mood.

Nationally certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR), our Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehab programs begin at the bedside, through a Phase I program, and end after Phase II and/or III, when patients are feeling better and comfortable enough to continue rehab on their own.

Phase II Cardiopulmonary rehab is offered at our Cleveland Clinic Akron General's main and Bath locations. Phase III Cardiopulmonary rehab is offered at the Bath, Stow, Green and Lodi locations.

Because of our extensive equipment, patients can find the activities they enjoy the most. Our staff works closely with patients and their families through the physical, emotional and educational aspects of healing, because these are all essential for successful recovery.

Family participation provides the extra measure of support when better health means a lifestyle change. We show patients how to optimize their nutrition and physical activity, quit smoking and continue their new program independently.
