Accurate diagnosis is the first step in developing a plan of care that will be best for you. The Heart & Vascular Center's dedicated staff, sophisticated equipment and newest technologies ensure that your doctor has as much detail as possible - at his or her fingertips.
The latest advancements in diagnostic technology are available at Akron General Medical Center - the 64-slice Computed Tomography (CT) scanner, allows physicians to visualize clear 3-D images of blocked blood vessels in the heart and brain. It is able to scan the whole body in less than 10 seconds and to capture images of the heart and arteries in fewer than five heartbeats.
Full service diagnostic testing is available at Akron General, including echocardiograms, stress tests, pulmonary function and more. Some tests are available at the Health & Wellness Centers.
