Lodi Community Hospital has once again been awarded the prestigious Summit Award by Press Ganey Associates, the nation's leading independent patient satisfaction measurement organization. The Summit Award is given to hospitals across the country that have maintained a patient satisfaction rank in the 95th percentile or above in each reporting period for a minimum of three consecutive years. Lodi Community Hospital was one of only four hospital Emergency Departments nationwide to receive this award four years in a row. The award was conveyed at the National Press Ganey Client Conference on November 17th in Washington, DC. Richard B. Siegrist, Jr., president and CEO of Press Ganey, noted, "We are proud partners of Lodi Community Hospital. Lodi Community Hospital has continued to maintain a high level of patient satisfaction over a number of years. Their efforts benefit Lodi and the surrounding area and lead to improved delivery of health care."

Press Ganey currently partners with more than 10,000 health care facilities—including over 40% of U.S. hospitals—to measure and improve the quality of their care. The company's databases are the largest in the industry, and allow facilities nationwide to benchmark their results against peer organizations. The Press Ganey Summit Award is the health care satisfaction industry's most coveted symbol of achievement bestowed annually.

According to Press Ganey, the Summit Award is the most challenging to attain. Each winning facility must achieve and maintain the extraordinary. A 95th percentile score means that only five percent of the surveyed hospitals across the country performed better in emergency department patient satisfaction scores. This truly sets recipients apart from their competition. This score ranks Lodi Community Hospital's Emergency Department among the elite in patient satisfaction.
