Lodi Community Hospital's Sugar School provides vital diabetes education

Millions of Americans have been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. One of the most common reactions to being diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes is, "Now what do I do?"

Lodi Community Hospital is reaching out to help people with Type 2 diabetes learn what to do next with a collaborative two-hour health information session. Sugar School participants will learn tips and tools to help them take control of their diabetes. This class provides inexpensive and vital health education at only $20 per person or $30 per couple. If you or a family member has Type 2 diabetes and you have inadequate or no insurance coverage, let Sugar School teach you what to eat, how to eat and the best times to check your sugar.

Sugar School will be held Tuesday, April 5, from 7-9 p.m. in the board room at Lodi Community Hospital, 225 Elyria Street, Lodi. Turn left immediately after entering the Lodi Community Hospital driveway; enter through the Rehab entrance (east, facing Rt. 83). The board room is straight ahead on the same level, and is wheelchair accessible. Reservations are required but a physician's referral is not needed. Reserve your seat by calling 330-948-5546.
