Lodi Community Hospital is partnering with Lodi’s Miller Brothers SuperValu grocery store to offer another way to take control of diabetes. Lodi Community Hospital’s registered dietitian, Robin Waltenberger, and Miller Brothers Grocery Store (711 Wooster St., Lodi) are offering FREE supermarket tours on Wednesday, February 15, from 10:30‐11:30 a.m. This one hour supermarket tour will provide a unique opportunity for “hands‐on” experience in choosing the right foods to control blood sugar and lose weight. Participants will learn about healthy eating, portion sizes, understanding food labels and what to avoid with diabetes. Waltenberger will lead the tour group through Miller Brothers aisle by aisle, and explain how to make healthy and easy choices. The tour is open to everyone whether or not you have diabetes. If you are newly diagnosed, you will find it especially helpful.
The tour is designed to complement, not replace, counseling you have received from your own dietitian. The tour is free, but reservations are required. Please call 330‐948‐5546 to reserve your place.
