Patients are often referred to the Akron General Wound Center by their physicians, but patients can refer themselves. Our staff inlcudes physicians Orthopaedic Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Podiatry, Vascular Surgery, Dermatology, Undersea & Hyperbaric Medicine, and Infectious Disease, along with two advance practice nurses and certified wound and ostomy nurses. A vascular surgeon is readily available for consultation. The Wound Center benchmarks with other wound centers across the country.
The Wound Healing and Limb Preservation Center physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals are also available to answer questions by physicians, patients, and their families.
