Hospital Care Assurance Program: HCAP

We know that a hospital visit, test or therapy is often unexpected. This unexpected expense can then become a worry to you.

Our mission is to improve the health and lives of our patients and community. We take great pride in putting our patients first and that is the reason we participate in the Ohio Hospital Care Assurance Program (HCAP).

Providing financial assistance to our patients
We participate in the Ohio HCAP program to be able to provide free hospital care for qualifying patients. Patients must complete an application, apply and have their eligibility approved to receive free care under the HCAP program.

The program is designed so that patients work directly with our Patient Financial Services representatives. Our helpful staff will review your application to see if you qualify for free care.

To qualify for HCAP, you must be at or below the annual income guidelines shown in the table. You must submit an application within three years of receiving a statement from us for the specific services. The following guidelines must also be met to receive approval:

  • You must be an Ohio resident at the time of service
  • You were not an active Medicaid recipient at the time of service

A Patient Financial Services representative will contact you once a decision has been made on your eligibility for the HCAP program. You are responsible for providing the information needed for the application process, and you will continue to receive statements until eligibility has been determined.

Thank you for choosing us.
