Women's Board

The Women's Board of Akron General is a volunteer organziation that operates Akron General's Gift Shop (Petite Bazaar) and our visitors' cafeteria (Petite Cafe). Proceeds from sales, in addition to annual fundraising activities and events, help support Akron General. Since its inception in 1932, the Women's Board has raised in excess of $5 million to support various projects related to patient care and comfort.

Major fundraising projects include:

  • Annual Gala
  • Petite Bazaar
  • Petite Cafe
  • 7th Heaven Craft Room
  • Hospitality Cart

    Past efforts have benefited Akron General's Breast Health Center, Heart & Vascular Center, the McDowell Cancer Center and Radiation Oncology Service, SICU/MICU, the Eye Center, Level I Truma Center and Emergency Department, Neurology, Guided Imagery, ICU Waiting and the Community Health Library.
