Access is available in most places of the hospital, including patient rooms. You'll notice wireless symbols posted in spots where access is assured.

What hardware and software will my laptop need?
A wireless card is required to connect. It's a piece of hardware that either came installed on your laptop, or that can be installed after purchase.

Where can I get a wireless card?
Most computer/home electronic stores are either able to sell or install wireless cards.

What if I can't connect?
Please let us know if wireless is not available. You can notify the nursing station or reception desk nearest to you. Access may not be available in several parts of the hospital.

Is my connection secure?
Please be sure that your laptop's anti-virus and firewall software are up-to-date. Use this service at your own risk. Akron General is not responsible for sensitive information communicated through this wireless connection, such as credit card, personal data or banking information.

Akron General provides Internet access as a complimentary service for the convenience of our patients and visitors. Improper use of this service is prohibited.
