For the health of babies born in Summit County, come join in the walk to raise awareness of infant mortality (the death of a child before his/her first birthday). Summit County Council member Paula Prentice will host the 4th annual walk at the Akron Zoo. Organizations throughout the community, including Cleveland Clinic Akron General, will participate and focus attention on the fact that Ohio has one of the worst infant mortality rates, and Summit County has one of the highest in the state. Physicians and other caregivers will be on hand to answer questions, and information will be shared about what is important for healthy birth outcomes. Registration required and includes free admission to the Zoo.
