Stop the Bleed: Lifesaving Education Class

You never know when you may find yourself in an emergency situation. It’s important to know some basic lifesaving skills about what to do in times of crisis. The Stop the Bleed program teaches the public to slow or prevent major blood loss while waiting for medical treatment. Similar to how the general public learns and performs CPR, the public can learn the proper bleeding control techniques, such as applying pressure and tourniquet application. Anyone at the scene of an injury can act as an immediate responder and potentially save a life!

March 31, 2018 is National Stop the Bleed day. Cleveland Clinic Akron General will host a free Stop the Bleed class. If you are interested in learning how to apply a Combat Application Tourniquet and other methods of bleeding control, please consider signing up for this valuable program.
