In recognition of Akron General’s 100th anniversary this year, Akron General and the Summit County Historical Society are rolling out a permanent Discovery Trunk for Health Care. The trunk is a self-contained footlocker containing artifacts, photos and other items that can be held and touched. The trunks will be available free for teachers to use in their classrooms to educate students about health care. It may also be borrowed by community organizations to learn more about the rich history of excellent healthcare available in our community. For the latter, a speaker will present information about the items in the trunk.
