Objectives:

  • To provide medical students with necessary exposure to assess and care for the adult cardiac patient.

Description:

  • Participate in daily teaching rounds with the attending and house staff team.
  • Exposure to the diagnostic procedures and therapeutic intervention necessary in the care of the adult cardiac patient.
  • Work up at least three patients per week.
  • Attend daily EKG teaching sessions to gain proficiency in electrocardiographic diagnosis.
  • Work with the attending physician in outpatient practice.
  • Students may elect to work with any of the facility by notifying our Medical Education office at the time of application.

Night Call/Special Requirements: No night call or weekends
