Objectives:
To give the medical student the opportunity to function as an intern on the General Medicine service while under the supervision of the senior resident.
Description:
Report to the senior resident for patient assignments.
Responsibilities will be similar to that of interns on the service, however, with a slightly reduced patient load.
Attend morning report prior to teaching rounds on the floor.
Attend daily noon didactic lectures, with work rounds taking place in the afternoon.
Will work with general internists assigned to your service for the period.
Night Call/Special Requirements: Every fourth night
