Akron General is sponsoring a Family Wellness Day at the Sunday, June 10, Akron Aeros vs. Altoona Curve baseball game at Canal Park. Gates open at noon and the game begins at 1:05 p.m. The Wellness Day will help participants learn how to incorporate overall wellness into their lifestyles, and keep fit while having fun. Participate in free wellness screenings, such as blood pressure, Body Mass Index (BMI) and flexibility testing; receive health tips; see a healthy food preparation demonstration; and do a mini-session of Turbo Kick during the seventh-inning stretch. Win a Visa gift card or other prizes in the lucky seat contest. The first 1,000 families will receive an Akron General lunch bag.
