Akron General Medical Center’s Women’s Board recently held its annual meeting at Fairlawn Country Club, with new officers sworn in for 2012-2013. Following are the appointments for this year:

New members Nancy Garry and Shelley Mattefs were installed and there were nine new provisionals for the 2012-2013 term recognized. They were: Amy Cole, Kathie Dickinson, Cheryl Levanduski, Maria Manera, Angela Mendise, Pamela Meyerhoefer, Carol Peter, Andrea Poweley and Cathy Stephens. At the same meeting, the Akron General Women’s Board distributed more than $250,000 to various Akron General departments and services. These were:

|Nursing/Nurse Call System
|Reflections Breast Health Center
|VNS Hospice Spa
|Simulation Learning Center
Since the Women’s Board was formed 80 years ago, the group has provided some $6 million in needed funds for Akron General.
