This work along with Josh’s rigorous rehab and superior dedication have resulted in dramatic progress for Josh; progress that has surpassed physicians’ and therapists’ expectations. Because of Tristano’s patience and teaching abilities, Josh now loves golf and has an increased confidence in his abilities.

To help raise funds for people like Josh and thousands of others with disabilities or who face challenges while recovering from injuries or illnesses, the 17th Annual Challenge Golf Shaw Cup Tournament will be held September 19, 2011, at Medina’s Weymouth Country Club. The daylong outing features a format of two best balls of five people. Each foursome will be paired with a Shaw Cup player to make a five-person team. Entry fees include 18 holes of golf, cart, use of practice range, lunch, evening dinner and team prizes. Individuals or partial teams will be paired whenever possible.

Event tickets are $50 each and raffle tickets are $10 per ticket or 6 for $50. All tickets are available online at www.akrongeneral.org/joy or by calling the Akron General Foundation, 330-344-6888.
