Akron General Partners Physician Group Welcomes New Physicians and Practices

Akron General Partners Physician Group (PPG) recently welcomed new physicians and physician groups in a number of different specialties that strengthen its already comprehensive ranks.

Green Primary Care and Northeast Ohio Orthopaedic Associates: Jeffrey Peiffer, DO
Dr. Peiffer is board-certified in Family Medicine and can help patients in managing chronic illness in addition to wellness and disease prevention. For primary care needs, such as diabetes management, fitness, wellness and preventative care, Dr. Peiffer sees patients in the Green Primary Care office, 1587 Boettler Rd., Suite 104, Uniontown. Dr. Peiffer is also fellowship-trained in Sports Medicine and specializes in non-operative management of musculoskeletal care and activity-related injuries. For sports medicine needs such as arthritis, chronic tendonitis, shin splints and stress fractures, Dr. Peiffer sees patients in two convenient locations with Northeast Ohio Orthopaedic Associates, 4302 Allen Rd., Suite 410, Stow and 1940 Town Park Blvd., Uniontown. Dr. Peiffer graduated from Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency requirements at Akron General Medical Center. His fellowship was completed at Akron Children’s Hospital.

Edwin Shaw Rehabilitation Institute: Brandon Weeks, MD
Dr. Weeks specializes in the diagnosis and non-operative management of musculoskeletal care and peripheral nervous systems disorders, including carpal tunnel syndrome, muscle strains, musculoskeletal medicine and ultrasounds, occupational medicine and osteoarthritis. Treatment options include therapy, braces or orthotics, medication management, or peripheral joint and nerve injections. He also offers electrodiagnostics and nerve conduction studies. Dr. Weeks graduated from Northeast Ohio Medical University and completed his residency requirements at The Ohio State University Wexner Center. Northeastern Ohio Medical Specialists: Colin Moorhead, MD; Kelly Moorhead, MD; and Julie Wallace, MD
Dr. Colin Moorhead graduated from Northeastern Ohio Medical University followed by residency in Internal Medicine at Akron General Medical Center. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Kelly Moorhead graduated from Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University followed - more - by residency in Internal Medicine at Akron General Medical Center. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Wallace graduated from Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University followed by residency in Family Medicine at Akron General Medical Center. She is board-certified in Family Medicine.
