Body-Fat Analysis
LifeStyles members may have their body fat measured by our fitness staff using a hand-held body fat analyzer tool at any time at no charge. We encourage members to strive for a healthy body composition, which includes both lean weight and fat. The body fat analyzer is relatively accurate, however, those striving for a more precise measurement, may request a body fat analysis using infrared technology and calipers. These methods are quick and simple.

Bone Density Screenings
Low-cost preliminary osteoporosis screenings are offered every month at the Akron General Health & Wellness Center - West & Akron General Health & Wellness Center - North. The painless, heel bone density screening takes just a few minutes and results are received the same day.

Cholesterol & Glucose Screenings
Get low-cost cholesterol and glucose screenings while at LifeStyles during these regular hours. Talk with your physician about how often you should be screened and when you can, together, discuss your results. All screening results are available in just ten minutes.

Tests Include:

• Total cholesterol & glucose
  Fee: $12
• Total HDL (good) cholesterol, glucose, total cholesterol and risk ratio for heart disease
  Fee: $18
• Complete Lipid Profile includes all of the above tests, plus LDL (bad) cholesterol, VLDL and triglycerides. If you plan to receive this test, you will need to fast for 12 hours prior to the test.
  Fee: $36
