Health Screenings
Low-cost cholesterol and glucose screenings are available at Akron General Health & Wellness Centers and at local supermarkets and pharmacies. All cholesterol test results are completed and provided to participants in a few short minutes.

At Akron General’s Health & Wellness Centers, we also offer low cost bone density screening and body fat analysis. The heel bone density screening and body fat analysis are both non-invasive, painless and take several minutes to complete. See our online calendar for screening dates, times and locations.

Nutrition & Fitness Club
The Nutrition & Fitness Club is for anyone who enjoys learning about ways to include fitness and healthier eating into their lifestyle. This "club" meets monthly to discuss the latest topics and trends. Experts in nutriion and fitness lead the discussion. Attendees participate in activities and are able to taste a healthy snack prepared by our registered dietitians. Registration is required by calling Wellness Services at 330-665-8095.
