Cleveland's Fox 8 announced the winners of its Akron Canton Hot List where viewers could go online to vote for their favorite places to dine, shop, work out and play. Akron General LifeStyles was voted in the best of the best consumer choice category as the top health & fitness center in the Akron/Canton region. Twenty-four centers competed for the title, with roughly 28,000 on-line votes cast. LifeStyles won by a margin of 17% ahead of the second place finisher.

Akron General LifeStyles has also been repeatedly recognized by Club Industry Magazine and the Medical Fitness Association as the most successful medical fitness centers in the nation.
