Lodi Community Hospital Named Top Hospital in Akron-Cleveland Area
Lodi Community Hospital has been named the top-rated hospital in the Akron-Cleveland area according to a survey released Monday, August 3, by Consumer Reports magazine. The hospital tied with Bellevue Hospital as the top-rated of the 33 scored in the region.
Consumer Reports researchers base the magazine's rankings on the federal government's survey of millions of patients. Areas surveyed include: patient satisfaction ratings for doctor and nurse communication, room cleanliness, discharge instructions, attentiveness of staff, communication about medications, pain control and quietness.
The Consumer Reports Health Ratings Center indicates that the data "provide important information that allows comparison of patients’ experiences in different hospitals on a common set of measures."
"This is a great honor for Lodi Community Hospital," said hospital President Thomas Whelan. "This Consumer Reports ranking is a tribute to our physicians, nurses and staff who dedicate every day to providing superb patient care and excellence in service."
Consumer Reports has long been recognized for conducting scientific tests and ratings of thousands of products every year and providing unbiased information that empowers consumers to make the best purchasing decisions.
