Hospice of VNS Announces Local Heroes for Hospice Award Winners
Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service (VNS) is celebrating its 30th anniversary and the 15th anniversary of opening the Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center with a special awards dinner on November 18, 2009. Hospice of VNS will honor heroes who are dedicated to helping terminally ill patients and their families through compassionate care, advocacy and philanthropic support. These honorees have helped to promote hospice care in our community and ensure its continued success. Please join Hospice of VNS as they honor and celebrate the following individuals and organizations that embody the spirit, quality and compassion of hospice and the value it holds for all.
Justin T. Rogers Spirit of Hospice Award

Awards will be presented on November 18 at the Heroes for Hospice Celebration and Awards Dinner to be held at the Hilton Akron/Fairlawn, 3180 West Market Street. A Patron Champagne Reception begins at 5:30 p.m. and seating will begin for dinner at 6 p.m. The awards presentation starts at 7:15 p.m. A silent auction will run throughout the evening. Tickets are $95 for the champagne reception and dinner, or $65 for dinner only. Corporate tables of eight are available. Proceeds will benefit end-of-life patient care and supportive services.
