MedFlight also serves Grant/Methodist Hospitals and the Ohio State University Medical Center.

Training the Future of Critical Care
Akron General's Critical Care Center's multidisciplinary program, in association with Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine (NEOUCOM), assists in training residents and medical students.
Surgical residents studying general surgery, plastic surgery, orthopaedics and urology are trained under the supervision of the chief of trauma service and Surgical Intensive Care director. Emergency Medicine residents and NEOUCOM medical students also have training experiences with the Surgical Intensive Care Unit.
Most residency programs rotate through a Critical Care experience under the supervision of the intensive care physicians. Medical students can also choose a senior elective experience in Critical Care. Through in-depth curriculum modules, formal conferences and Grand Rounds, the program education provides clinical and research knowledge and skills related to critical care that enables residents to become confident practitioners, educators and investigators.
