"In my search for an emergency medicine residency I interviewed at a wide range of programs across the country. What initially struck me about my interview at Akron General was the sense of camaraderie amongst the residents and faculty as well as the overall happiness of the residents. I also liked the fact that the program, being the first community Emergency Medicine residency, was well established, had a long standing reputation for producing excellent physicians and had graduates that practiced throughout the U.S. These aspects of the program coupled with Akron General’s high volume and acuity level placed it at the top of my list.
