1. Describe indications for, and initiation of, early management of pre-arrest conditions that may result in cardiac arrest or complicated resuscitation outcomes.
2. Discuss the identification and treatment of the patient with acute coronary syndrome
3. Recognize life-threatening clinical situations, such as stroke, and discuss effective initial care to reduce disability and death.
4. Discuss the impact of team dynamics on overall team performance.
5. Demonstrate proficiency in providing BLS care and integration of AED use, including prioritization of care in conjunction with ACLS treatment.
6. Manage cardiac arrest until return of spontaneous circulation, termination of resuscitation, or transfer of care.

3. Summarize latest literature, expert opinions, and this data's relevance to patient care.
4. Evaluate clinical practice, incorporating new information into clinical practice.
