Akron General Partners currently has a part-time (20 hrs/wk) benefits eligible position for a Physician Assistant to work in Pre-surgical Testing, part of the Ambulatory Surgery Center at the Health & Wellness Center West. The PA is responsible for obtaining the initial history, performing a physical exam, and evaluating operative risk factors for pre-surgical patients. The PA participates in direct patient care and patient education as necessary; and participates in the growth and continuing education for the development of the PA role and serves as a resource person to other members of the health care team.

Qualifications: Graduate of a Physician Assistant program accredited in the State of Ohio. Current license in the State of Ohio. Three to five years experience as a Physician Assistant in medical/surgical environment. Certified as a physician assistant or be certification eligible. Must have knowledge of basic computer skills. Maintains current Basic Life Support (BLS) with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
