Position Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Sr. Project Leader, Nursing Informatics, the Systems Administrator Nursing is responsible for installation, implementation, and maintenance of operating system software for the appropriate nursing applications and computer systems.
Qualifications: Job Duties:
Provides operational support for the McKesson products, ANSOS, OBTraceVue, and Omnicell systems. Responds appropriately to requests for help from McKesson Horizon Clinicals (McKesson HC), ANSOS, and OBTraceVue users.
Assists in the development of operating procedures that ensure efficient implementation and use of the McKesson HC, ANSOS, and OBTraceVue systems.
Helps identify and develop the annual capacity plan for future hardware and software requirements.
Assists with the development and implementation of McKesson HC, ANSOS, and OBTraceVue software upgrades
Monitors McKesson HC, ANSOS, and OBTraceVue system interfaces and appropriately notifies responsible Information Systems staff when problems arise.
Works with Information Systems staff in development of McKesson HC, ANSOS, and OBTraceVue enhancements.
Assists in defining security procedures for McKesson HC, ANSOS, and OBTraceVue; maintains security system.
Represents the hospital at user group meetings. Participates actively in committee work as assigned.
Maintains a flexible work schedule including scheduled flexible on-call.
Completes annual on-going competency requirements. Attends continuing education programs and completes mandatory training in order to maintain certification and licensure, department specific requirements and professional growth.
Follows hospital and department policies and procedures with special attention to attendance and punctuality, confidentiality, dress code and display of ID badge, and safety.

Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
Two to five years' clinical experience.
Knowledge of clinical information systems used for patient care and documentation. Proficient in the use of Microsoft software applications (e.g. Excel, Word).
Ability to work collaboratively with members of the health care team.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including on-call on a rotating basis.
