Quality Measures RN

Position Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Vice President Nursing, the RN Specialist Quality Measures is responsible for conducting and coordinating activities involved with quality core measures and quality improvement in order to facilitate improvement of patient care and compliance with national regulations and patient safety goals.

Qualifications: Job Duties: Assists physicians and staff to achieve concurrent compliance with quality measures. Performs concurrent clinical chart review based on quality indicator requirements. Works collaboratively with physicians, nurses, care managers and other ancillary staff through daily rounds to achieve concurrent compliance with quality indicators in an effort to improve outcomes. Acts as a resource to staff and management on the quality measure process and implementation of quality measure bundle components. Supports performance improvement and quality programs through the collection, compilation and aggregation of data; identifies and resolves missed opportunities. Tracks compliance of quality measures by analyzing and reviewing data in order to identify improvement opportunities; presents results at meetings within the organization. Presents trends and education on the quality measures; provides just in time and formal education programs on quality measures to the organization. Works with performance improvement teams/committees to assist in planning and implementing interventions to ensure best practices are implemented for quality measures. Provides support and facilitates projects and initiatives for quality measures as needed. Refers appropriate cases to directors as necessary. Completes mandatory education and training in order to maintain organization and department specific competencies and requirements. Maintains applicable certification/licensure. Follows hospital and department policies and procedures with special attention to attendance and punctuality, confidentiality, dress code and display of ID badge, and safety. Age Specific Criteria: There is no age specific criteria for this job. Minimum Qualifications: BSN with current license to practice in State of Ohio. Three to five years clinical experience. Quality improvement and patient safety experience preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent presentation skills. Working knowledge of computer systems and applications. Excellent problem solving and organizational skills with the ability to think analytically and focus on details. Ability to develop relationships at all levels of the organization.
