New Heart & Vascular Center will further improve care and collaboration

Construction on Akron General’s extensive Heart & Vascular Center renovation and expansion project is well underway and scheduled to be completed Fall 2005. The $17-million project will quadruple space dedicated to heart and vascular care at Akron General Medical Center and will be the only center of its kind in Northeast Ohio to collaboratively treat cardiac and vascular disease. The renovation and expansion will also bring together physicians from numerous areas of specialty for the area’s most innovative and comprehensive treatment of cardiovascular disease.
