Most Americans don't get enough physical activity which is important for good health. Walking is one of the easiest ways to get exercise, and the Towpath Trail is one of our area's most treasured natural resources.

What is Healthy Steps?
Healthy Steps is a free walking program offered by Akron General and the Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition that encourages people of all ages to step toward better health by walking and discovering the rich beauty of the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail.

All participants will receive a monthly newsletter and health tips. Everyone is entered into drawings for walking shoes, gift certificates and other prizes. The participant with the most steps will receive a grand prize of 4 tickets to the Cuyahoga Valley Railroad's Polar Express! (You must submit a tracker form at the end of the program to be eligible.
