Lodi Community Hospital and Akron General Health System recently donated more than 10 pieces of exercise equipment totaling approximately $70,000 to Cloverleaf Rec Center. "We are community partners who share the same commitment to helping residents maintain their health by providing the necessary tools, programs, services and facilities," says Thomas Whelan, president, Lodi Community Hospital. "Being able to provide additional equipment to the Cloverleaf Rec Center gives our Health System great pride, as it further strengthens our mission to improve the health and lives of the people and communities we serve."
Akron General is a leader in wellness and prevention, opening the nation's first Health & Wellness Center in Montrose nearly 20 years ago and offering LifeStyles, a medically supervised exercise program that is rated the number-one medically based fitness center in the U.S. by Club Industry magazine. The high-quality full line of Trotter® selectorized weight training equipment donated to Cloverleaf Rec Center was available following equipment upgrades within Akron General Health System and presented on behalf of Lodi Community Hospital.
"Our partnership with Lodi Community Hospital is extremely important to us," shares Daryl Kubilus, Jr., superintendent, Cloverleaf Local Schools. "I am grateful to the hospital for this generous donation. As a result, our recreation center members and school district will benefit for years to come."
