Dave Smartt, a physical therapist for Visiting Nurse Service (VNS) for six years, was awarded the Heart of Home Care Award at the Midwest Care Alliance’s (MCA) Annual Conference Awards Luncheon on November 1. Smartt, a resident of Richfield, is known to consistently go above and beyond the call of duty for his patients, without complaint or hesitation.
“Dave is an important member of our team,” says Adam Kalman, manager of rehabilitation services at VNS. “He continues to inspire his patients to want to improve, while showing the compassion and dedication to make them improve,” Kalman adds.
MCA is the Ohio association for home, hospice and palliative care. The Heart of Home Care Award recognizes individual MCA members who have made significant and repeated achievements in home health care.
