What could be better than watching your favorite Mid-American Conference (MAC) teams while taking charge of your health and wellness this winter? Together with Kent State University (KSU) and The University of Akron (UA), Akron General hopes to encourage MAC fans everywhere to focus on their health and wellness during two special MAC Wellness Days.
Join in on the fun while watching the KSU men’s basketball team take on Miami University at home in the MAC Center Wednesday, February 13, at 7 p.m. Later that week, come watch the UA men and women take on Bowling Green State University and Ball State University, respectively, at home in the James A. Rhodes (JAR) Arena Saturday, February 16.
An hour before each game, the gates to the MAC Center or JAR will open for wellness activities, which will last throughout the games. Several wellness stations featuring free health screenings, cool giveaways, fun activities and more will be arranged throughout the arenas. During the games, attendees will receive healthy tips and there will be opportunities for crowd participation, as well as special half-time presentations.
Purchase tickets for the February 13 Kent game online at KentStateSports.com. Tickets may also be purchased at the MAC Center the day of the game. The MAC Center is located on the Kent State University campus at 1025 Risman Drive, Kent.
Purchase tickets for the February 16 Akron games online at ZipsTickets.com. Tickets may also be purchased at the JAR the day of the games. The JAR is located on The University of Akron campus at 373 Carroll St., Akron.
