Akron General Health System is launching a new awareness and consumer engagement campaign. The campaign’s tagline “My Health. My Life.” is being supported with messaging that Akron General is there to help and guide everyone through healthy steps big and small.
Developed specifically by incorporating survey input from community residents about what they expected from their healthcare provider, “My Health. My Life.” captures the essence of what people want from their health system - a partner, an organization that listens, cares and guides its patients to optimum health. In addition, the campaign accentuates Akron General’s long standing national leadership position in the promotion of wellness and keeping patients healthy and out of the hospital. Akron General was among the first in the nation to embrace wellness as a driving organizational philosophy, a philosophy that remains unique among healthcare providers today.
The initial TV spot debuted the week of April 22 and some elements of the campaign began in March. The multi-tier awareness campaign includes print (newspaper and magazine), local and cable TV, social media, radio, outdoor (digital and poster), and online components which includes a website offering healthy living advice, healthful recipes and a video contest where the public can submit video clips of their own wellness journey and win prizes. “People throughout the area told us their needs. They need a healthcare system that listens closely to what they have to say and works collaboratively to help them develop personalized plans for their wellness,” said Thomas L. “Tim” Stover, M.D., President and CEO of the Akron General Health System. “Our new campaign revolves around education, empathy and collaboration and meeting the wellness needs of everyone at any age.”
