Akron General Partners Physician Group (PPG) recently welcomed Osei-Tutu Owusu, MD and Shyam Bhakta, MD, FACC, FSCAI.
Owusu, resident of Solon, is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology and offers expert care in cancer diagnosis, therapy and treatment for all cancers including but not limited to lung, gastrointestinal, lymphoma and breast; myelodysplastic syndrome; myeloma and hematologic or blood diseases. He graduated from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and completed his residency requirements at Beth Israel Medical Center and Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. His fellowship was completed at Boston University and Maastricht University. Owusu sees patients at McGee, Petrus, Rehmus & Lu, 224 W. Exchange St., Suite 160, Akron. Bhakta, resident of Solon, is board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology and offers expert care for the diagnosis, management and prevention of heart disease, including angina pectoris, heart blockages, congestive heart failure, balloon angioplasty and stents, and high blood pressure and cholesterol. He graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed his residency requirements at University Hospitals. His fellowship was completed at University Hospitals and University of Colorado Hospitals.
