Lodi Community Hospital welcomed community leaders to a special pancake breakfast on Saturday, July 13 to show off recently renovated areas of the hospital, located at 225 Elyria Street, Lodi.
“We are very proud of our newly remodeled areas at Lodi Community Hospital,” says Thomas Whelan, president, community and specialty hospitals. “It is our mission to improve the health and lives of the people and the communities we serve and these recent changes will help us deliver on our mission.”
- Outpatient physical therapy and the inpatient rooms have received a fresh look with new paint, décor and hardwood floors. Outpatient physical therapy also received two new private evaluation rooms, a new waiting room, sound absorbing panels, and an almost 40 percent larger gym area.
- A new cardiac phase III rehab area will help those who had a heart attack or heart surgery get back to their daily activities and find a better quality of life. The program is a medically supervised aerobic and strength exercise program for people with cardiac risk factors. It was designed to help participants learn self-management of overall cardiovascular health to help lower the risk of future heart problems.
- A new bone density scanner in radiology can help determine your risk for developing osteoporosis — a disease that weakens the bones and makes them more likely to break.
- A new coffee shop, Anna’s Coffee Nook, opened on July 3 within the hospital.
