Akron General and the American Red Cross are teaming up again to offer free hands-only CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training on Save-a-Life Super Saturday, November 16. Sessions are available at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. at the Health & Wellness Center – West, 4125 Medina Rd., Montrose; and 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. at the Health & Wellness Center – North, 4300 Allen Rd., Stow. Now you or your friends and family can get the knowledge and skills in just 45 minutes to be ready to respond quickly should a loved one or friend collapse from a sudden cardiac arrest.
Sessions will consist of hands-only CPR instruction and a demonstration on how to use an AED, led by a Red Cross Instructor and a health professional from the Akron General Heart & Vascular Center who will also discuss the signs and symptoms of cardiac arrest. During the class, participants will use mannequins to practice newly learned CPR techniques. It’s the best investment of 45 minutes you’ll ever make. Please register by calling 330-344-2462.
