Rep. Kristina Roegner presented a proclamation to Akron General Director of Physician Relations Dennis Nordquest, resident of Hudson, on November 22 at Akron General Health & Wellness Center-North in Stow in honor of his being named the 2012-2013 “Outstanding National Host Client” by Practice Management Institute (PMI).
Chosen nationally from among hundreds of PMI hospitals, medical society, physician service group and program host partners, Nordquest was recognized by PMI for his exceptional networking and relationship-building abilities, and for his outstanding commitment to Akron General’s physician community. Nordquest was the years’ stand-out advocate on the importance of accessibility of education to the physician and staff.
“Mr. Nordquest has by example taken the role of program host to the next level. His ability to utilize education as a vehicle for building close bonds between Akron General and its affiliated providers and staff, is second to none. It’s what other individuals in his role around the country are wanting to achieve,” said Michael Moore, Director of Outreach, Network and Business Development for PMI.
PMI is the training, networking and credentialing source for medical office professionals. For more than 25 years, physicians and their staff have looked to PMI for skills that contribute to a more efficient, profitable and compliant office. Classes are hosted in over 300 of the nation’s leading hospitals, medical societies and colleges. PMI awards certification by exam to accomplished medical office coding, reimbursement, compliance, and management professionals. In all, more than 17,000 medical office professionals have earned their credentials through PMI.
